Liz O'Malley is a digital creative and brand strategist with a decade-long career spanning marketing, communications, and design.
Based in NYC, Liz is the person organizations trust to own how they show up in the world — building strategy, directing agencies and collaborators, and staying hands-on with the creative work itself. Her background includes leading digital communications for nonprofit and mission-driven organizations, where she's owned everything from website redesigns and email programs to donor-facing storytelling and event campaigns.
Liz's career began in writing, crafting content for agency clients and covering FinTech and culture as a staff writer, before she moved into digital marketing, helping a historic preservation nonprofit build its first social media presence from scratch. From there, she spent several years in digital communications at Robin Hood Foundation, one of New York's largest anti-poverty organizations, growing social audiences and rebuilding donor-facing content at scale.
Her path into design began behind the scenes at a podcast studio, crafting key art and visual identities for shows pitched to major media partners — an experience that turned a long-standing love of visual storytelling into a second discipline layered onto her earlier work.
Since then, she's led projects end to end, spanning a full organizational website redesign, brand systems, editorial design, and campaign work — always pairing strategic thinking with a genuine eye for what makes a design surprise and connect.
Her love for art, film, and photography fuels an inventive, strategic style, built on a decade of understanding not just how something should look, but why it needs to work.
